Sooo after Christmas we rushed back to Salt Lake to catch the team plane to go to the one and only...El Paso!
Our plane was ginourmas...and we must have done something special because we were in first class. Now these were not your usual first class with the cup holders, and those little fleece blankets, this first class was full on beds with comforters. No joke...best airplane ride ever.
We got off the plane in Texas to find a mariachi band awaiting us. Only in Texas.
They even had girls that came and danced with some of the players...they all loved that.
The bowl staff did a great job at providing events for us to attend. AND the wives got to go to most of them! Some of the highlights were bowling, dinner and a talent show between the two teams, and the bowl luncheon.

Ok after bowling they took us to this awesome light show...it is the house of some insurance guy in Texas that just does this every year for fun. Crazy!

If any of you know Bill...this is typical. We walked into the room and found this. He wouldn't wake up for anything either.
FINALLY...game day! The week seemed to go by kinda slow, mainly because there wasn't much to do in El Paso besides go the mall and walk around like 12 year old girls.
This is most of the wives...we are missing a few.
The game was one of those games where I probably closed my eyes a fourth of the game. The weather was great and actually really hot! We started out good, but then came the 3rd quarter where we did everything wrong, seriously wrong. The 4th quarter came and we were down 2 touchdowns. A lot of jumping and screaming later, (and thanks to Griff for a great return to set them up for the last touchdown), we ended up tying the game sending it into overtime. Overtime went our way and we ended up winning!
We got home that night (New years eve) at about 11:30, just in time to bring in the new year in our bed. Yes that is how exciting we are. We were exhausted.

So fun whit! Kinda funny that we were both in Texas just a week apart! I'm so glad you got back in time for us to do the sleep over, it was a blast! I'm so glad we all still get together. I was so afraid we'd never see each other again after we all got married. We gotta keep it going!
