Mexico

Well I am behind on everything that has been going on so I am going to try and catch up. For spring break we went to Mexico with Griff's family! It was a fun one year anniversary from the time we got engaged. Our resort was BEAUTIFUL! It is right on the beach with an awesome pool and lots of flowers! We mostly hung out by the pool, laid out, and ate good food! Our resort is just outside of Mazatlan so we went into town a couple of times. We went to church on Sunday to a little ward in Mazatlan. Griff asked around and asked where the safest place would be for us to do. The taxi driver took us to a little church located inside this scary looking neighborhood, but in the middle of the neighborhood, there was a spot where there was actually pavement and green grass and a building. Griff went in first to check it out. He saw the missionaries and went straight to them. One of them introduced themselves as Elder McNabb. Griff was about ready to say he that's my name when the Elder said "Griffin??" Griff looked up and realized it was his cousin Keith who left for his mission before Griff got home so they hadn't seen each other for 3 years. We had no idea he would be in that area! It was such a coincidence to run into him because he had only been in the area for 5 days and the taxi driver told us where to go. Church was interesting because it was all in spanish. Griff translated for me the whole meeting but I am sure the rest of the family was lost. We could still feel the spirit though even if we didn't understand what they were saying. That is the great thing about our church. Its true anywhere in the world you go. One morning we tried to go sea fishing with Ben, Ryan, Caitlin, Josh, Griffin and I. We got out on the ocean in a little boat and Griff and I got sick so the driver took us back to the dock and then went back out. Being sea sick is the worst! We had tons of fun and are so lucky we got to go!
